James has extensive cruise experience on board such prestigious cruise lines as Royal Caribbean and Sun Cruises. With formal music training, James’ knowledge covers formal music theory, sound engineering, composition and performing techniques. Having performed in various Midlands based bands and studying with renowned local drummer Mitch Archer, James was able to further his professional drumming techniques by studying with Jerry Freeman, long term drummer for Shirley Bassey. Which then led to the start of James’s professional career onboard cruise ships. James is a professional and talented musician, who confidently plays various music styles including Pop, Rock, Jazz and Latin as well as more modern styles as Rn’b and Jungle with or without a click.

2006

Various sessions and deps including live dates with The Quantum Project, Flashback including support slots for “The Real Thing”, Abbadabbadoo, The Big City Allstars and The Right Perspective. Drum tuition from my home studio and as part of the “School of Drums” within one of Birmingham’s biggest music shops - PMT (Professional Music Technology.....if you were wondering!!)
